Cabin Rentals in Estes Park, Colorado

Our cabin rentals in Estes Park have rich history.

In January of 1979, Gene Oliver, an airline pilot, his wife Marjorie, a nurse, with their son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Cindy, purchased Brynwood, fulfilling their dreams to live in the mountains and own their own business. In April they moved from Utah with 5 children ages 1 to 20. Gene was still a captain on Western Airlines, and during his days off enjoyed decorating the cottages with his family. His favorite was the 11th Aero Squadron, which displays many keepsake photographs and documents of aviation history, including a mantle picture of him dressed in WWI uniform. Gene passed away in 1985 and Gary and Cindy took over, Marge took on another venture with other family members. Now the third generation Olivers are helping with the "family" business. You will find cottages of many themes at Brynwood. Experience the old west in the "Bunk House" or the turn of the century in the "Chic-a-dee" surrounded by antiques and stained glass. Capture the feeling of the Austrian Alps in the "Zimmer Frei" with a private hot tub that overlooks the river. Escape to the "Love Nest" for a romantic get-a-way with it's 2 person, 5'x5' jetted tub, and moss rock waterfall adjacent to the fireplace. Cast your fishing line from the deck of the "Rock'n River"or write your memoirs from the screened porch of the "Hide-a-way". In "The Den" you are surrounded by the feel of the wild, all decorated in wolves. "Cuddle Cove" and "Sleepy Hollow", our cozy escape for two, display McFate's famous Intarsia. "Cartoon Junction" captures the excitement of the young and the young at heart. Our "Hummingbird" cabin captures quaint, country atmosphere. Come and see how the indoors of our cabin rentals in Estes Park compliment the incomparable beauty of the outdoors.

People come to Estes Park for many reasons during all seasons. Ute Indians summered in the valley to escape the heat just as many visitors do now, including "Chica", the chipmunk and his growing family, which share accommodations and handouts from our guests with marmots and raccoons. Autumn brings festivals and holidays adorned with golden aspen and bugling elk. Look for "Clang" the bull elk, so named when he managed to get wind chimes caught in his antlers. Photograph our family of deer as they drink from the river early mornings and evenings. Elk are plentiful right in your own front yard, especially during the fall and winter months. Listen to the bash of antlers hitting together with the background of bugling as you settle down for the night...sometimes there's quite a show!!! We also have a timid bear that visits us once in a while...he's very photogenic as well!!!

So for whatever reason or season, whether it is biking, hiking, fishing, or just relaxing river or pool side, call us, Gary and Cindy or our hosts, Ron and Lucy McFate, to reserve your home away from home at
at our Estes Park lodging.
