One of the best Estes Park activities is to see the town from the top without putting on your hiking boots! Take the Estes Park Aerial Tramway, a family favorite since 1955, for an unbeatable view of Estes Park and the surrounding mountains.
The tramway rides from downtown Estes Park to the summit of Prospect Mountain where there’s an observation platform, family-friendly hiking trails at the top, and a coffee house and gift shop. You can stay at the top as long as you wish to capture photos or enjoy a picnic.
Tickets are $12 per adult, $8 per child, and children five and under ride free. The tramway operates May through September and generally runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Estes Park tramway has always been a family-owned business since its opening in July 1955.
